Tarun, I don't know who the "most" are who suggest turning down the sub trim on the receiver, but it should have no such effect. Some receiver sub outputs could possibly distort audibly if set too high, e.g. above 0, but it should be set high enough so that there's enough voltage delivered to the sub amp to keep it "awake".

Another point is that the QS8s seemingly should have a crossover not lower than 80Hz.
