The demo for Prey is out there, everywhere and its AWESOME. My only worry now is can the game maintain what they put into this demo. It's incredible... even the music is a blast!

Yeah Ben, but I was just reading in the summer issue of Michigan Today that a psychologist at the university thinks that FPSs can turn folks into homicidal maniacs.

I wonder if my work computer (P4, 3.2Ghz, GeForce 6600 256mb) can handle it. Worth a shot, I guess...

I just got done playing it on my HTPC which is almost exactly those specs... P4 3Ghz, 1Gig RAM... Set it to my TV's native res of 1280x720 on medium settings and it ran pretty well. I even had vsync on because the game does tend to tear a lot... other than that its EXTREMELY pretty.

On my game box (Athlon64 3200, 1Gig RAM, 7800GT) its glass at 1280x1024 everything maxed out. AA and AF on too.

I did find that it ran well. It did tear a bit on the large 24" dell I have at work, even at 800x600 res. Maybe I should have quit Outlook first...

I don't know for sure why it tears so bad, but this is one game that had me turning vsync on. I can't get over how pretty the game is and how engaging the story is too.
