Nice looking wheels Scott! I like the Challenger that will be coming out soon, however, the 4 door Charger is more family friendly.

Thanks,
I like the looks of the Challenger also. I like the Charger and with a family actually like the 4 doors. I picked this color (Go-Mango) specifically. The car has had some mods done, so she is turning out about 420hp. Driving it is a blast.

I cannot see a Charger, even one as sporty as that, and not think of the NCIS TV show (the heroes drive a Charger).

Really. I do not watch NCIS, but maybe I will start. I really like the Charger. It is very roomy, comfortable, and rides great. But still, it is sporty. From what I understand, the Charges have a Mercedes 500 series rearend and a 300 series frontend. All I know is the car really turns heads and I kind of like that, Ha ha.

Bugbitten,
Thanks. I kind of have a get out of jail free card. I am a Probation Officer and the badge does wonders when it comes to things like speeding tickets. I am good friends with our local Chief of Police and even challenged her to a race. Her police Charger against mine.

Very sharp ride Scott! 420HP ... sheesh, you'd need a badge to manage all of *those* tickets. Congrats!

Not bad, I would guesstimate...as long as he doesn't 'get on it' all the time. Those V8's are made to run in 4 cylinder mode, till you mash the gas, at which point all 8 cyl's start firing/consuming gas!
Still, I can't imagine it's all that great...those things weigh a few tons...
Still, nice to see...good luck with it.

Thanks guys,
Actually the gas mileage is not bad. I average about 17 around town. On the highway I got about 24 on the one highway trip I have made. With the MDS system that shuts down 4 cylinders when cruising highway mileage is pretty good. That is if I baby it. That is hard to do though. I love to get on it, smoke the tires, slam my head against the seat and go.

420? That isn’t the SRT is it? You mention it has the cylinder deactivation, so I’m assuming it’s got the 5.7 and not the 6.1. So do you know what’s been done to get the power that high? That about 80 over stock isn’t it?
They are sweet cars and with four doors to boot. I’ve been looking at one of them myself. I’d love an SRT, but would probably get 5.7 with AWD so I could use it year round. A friend of mine just bought the SRT version to match his wife’s SRT Jeep Grand Cherokee. Too bad he can’t drive worth a darn. It won’t be long before he raps it around a tree. I’ve driven his and it impressed me.

Mike,
No it is not an SRT8. It is a Daytona R/T. It has a stage 2 Comp Cam, Superchip, Magnaflow exhaust and Gibson Headers. The dealership had an SRT8 and they said mine would outrun it. The dealership had all the mods done before I bought it. Mods costs about $6,000, but I still bought it for $10,000 less than what the SRT8 they had cost. The SRT8 stickered for $46,000. I love the car. I have not owned a car for quite some time. I have had SUV's forever, but when the Charger came out I had to have one.

Sounds sweet…
Have you looked into getting a custom tune? They will outperform that chip by far. I’m not too sure who does Mopar though. Westers does amazing things with GM, although he charges an arm and leg for his tunes. He may have something for Mopar. I have a Wait For Me tune in my truck. Made a night and day difference over the Diablo I tried first.
Did they do anything with the brakes /suspention?
