I finally put my Home Theater together. After 2 years of research, price checking, and waiting, I pulled the trigger on everything in one weekend.

If not for the great community on this website, I may have been convinced to buy my speakers elsewhere. I have been reading this website for about a year and asked a few questions prior to my final purchase. The information found within this community was invaluable in making my decision.

One of the biggest things adding to my decision to go with the Axioms is the Customer Service reputation. As a newbie to the audio realm, I wanted to make sure that I had the support necessary throughout the process. One of my floor standing speakers arrived with an 8" round puncture through the box, the plastic, and of course damaging the wood on the speaker. I informed Axiom customer support of this immediately the next day. By 5:00 that same day, I had an e-mail with the shipping information for my new speaker! Sadly though, the second speaker arrived with the EXACT same hole in it plus a new one. I wouldn't even take delivery of this speaker. I could tell looking through the hole that it was damaged as well. Again, I e-mailed Axiom. This time they responded by saying they would next use Fed-Ex rather than DHL. The speaker showed up the day after! Thankfully, this speaker was in mint condition.

All that aside, my system sounds fantastic. Everything I purchased was via opinions and ideas expressed on this site, not only to me, but to others that have asked questions here as well.

All things considered, my final setup is as follows :

Sony KDF50E2000
Onkyo TX-SR703B Receiver
SVS 20-39PCPlus SubWoofer
Axiom M60 v2
Axiom QS8 v2
Axiom VP150 v2
Tech Craft Stand

I was able to purchase everything for about $5,300.

I am so happy with my sound / picture. I never knew how good something like this could turn out. I know I still have a lot of tweaking to do. And i'm sure that i am not using my receiver to its max potential yet, but everyone who has come over has been more than impressed!

Again, I want to thank everyone here for their advice and patience. You all should get some kind of commision for this. Without you, Axiom never would have made this sale.

And Noreen, if you read this, much thanks to you as well!

Also, to whomever recieves my 2 cosmetically damaged speakers through the discount channel, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy my system!

Congrats on the system TrueFX-

I think many of us here can relate to your decision on choosing Axiom based upon the community here on the forum. The members here are very nice and eager to help- helping to make it easier to order something like this over the internet. It helped make the decision for me as well.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Glad you are enjoying the speakers. What finish did you get, and do you have any pictures?

Sorry to hear about the shipping problems, but glad to hear that Axiom customer service took care of you.

It's nice to be able to put together a stellar home theater without breaking the bank. Enjoy!

Comments like yours give us all the "commission" we need. It's good to know the forum was helpful.

I am stunned that you got two damaged speakers. I can't believe DHL. But, isn't it comforting to know that Axiom will take care of you?

True, enjoy your Axioms. At least one thing that can be said about DHL is that they're apparently very precise in their handling practices.

Congrats on your speakers, though from what you've described those damaged units will likely not even make it in their "B-Stock" inventory. I've bought most of my Axioms via their "factory outlet" and the blems are nearly unnoticable. Certainly not obvious shipping damage.

Returns never make it back to the public, Axiom does not use the returns as b stock.

Congrats on the system.
