I've got a half bbl of http://lazymagnolia.com/Indian_Summer.html on tap now, though I prefer http://lazymagnolia.com/SouthernPecan.html when I can get it. So popular, even us investors have a hard time getting it as part of our "beer allowance"

I hope all of you had as good a Fathers Day as I did, but I really don't see how that could be possible.

Day at home with Julie, the kids and my inlaws:

Unibroue Ephemere
Lindemann’s Framboise
Lagunitas IPA
Assorted artisinal cheeses
Great Divide Hercules Double IPA
Front nine at pebble beach via Tiger Woods for Wii
Elysian Dragonstooth Stout
Carpaccio
Cline’s Ancient Vines Zinfandel, 2005
Sirloin, medium rare. Baked potato. Salad.
Stone Russian Imperial Stout
Fresh home made vanilla ice cream with dulce de leche
Moylans Old Blarney Barleywine
Romeo y julieta maduro
Unibroue Quelque Chose
Continuous tunes indoors and outdoors

It is SO good to be me.

Don't worry, life will throw another junior high school band concert at you before you know it. Enjoy it while you can!

Eight different and excellent beers (or beer-like beverages), some wine, homemade dessert, and music. I should have made a detour through Seattle on my way back from California! I already told you guys about my Father's Day (not that anyone seemed to notice.... )

Hey, I noticed! Must've been hard to not have Stevie and Gracie around yesterday. I'm sure they'll make it up to you.

And that rice, sausage and pepper thing sounded pretty good. What did you wash it down with?

I decided to be unadventurous and bought a Sam Adams Brewmaster's Collection mixed 6-pack. I had one Honey Porter and one Dark Lager. Both were good, but nothing to rave about. That's been my experience with pretty much all Sam Adams brews. Solid beers that lack wow.

Right now I'm having the third and final flavor in the pack, Brown Ale, and my review is the same. I can now rank the three flavors: 1. Honey Porter, 2. Brown Ale, 3. Dark Lager.

I agree, Peter, Sam Adams is missing that little something extra. Like you said--solid. I wanted to really enjoy the Honey Porter, but it was just okay. Last weekend I picked up some Blue Moon Honey Moon Summer Ale and am really enjoying it. It's a white Belgian ale with a distinct honey aftertaste--a flavor I particularly enjoy. There's a bit of a citrus flavor to balance the sweetness. By far one of the best beers you can find in a regular supermarket.
