So, now I'm curious; what's the difference between the Axiom v2 and original speakers? I have a pair of M80ti's that I purchased about 4 years ago. What kind of improvements have been made since?

From a post by Amie, last May.
"We are still in the process of adding the v2 to the sites, but it went into usage at the end of 05 / beginning of 06, to differentiate the current generation of speakers from the original ones. Axiom is constantly making improvements to our speakers, and indeed if you look at an original M80 you'll see an entirely different driver configuration, frequency response, and even cabinet design. Changes to every model of speaker have been made since the line was released - input, in some cases drivers, in some cases crossovers, in all cases cabinet design, etc, etc, and after much discussion it was decided that we should indicate that on the speakers themselves. The performance and hardware changes are cumulative over the last two years, and when we had finished the whole line we added the v2 designation."

Is there any way to tell if my speakers had any of these changes made? My cabinets look identical to the ones on the site and so do the drivers...
Also, are there any of these improvements that I could mod myself in terms of crossover caps, etc?

Well after doing some searching on the forums, it seems like the first change that was done to the speakers was the change of the speaker configuration from TMTMWW to TTMMWW, my speaker configuration is of the latter, so I suppose that some of these changes were already made when my speaker was produced. Does anyone have a picture of the new and old binding posts? As this was supposidly the last change that was made? Mind you, I bought my M80ti's about 3 - 4 years ago as a dealer demo before Axiom became a internet only company.

The old binding posts are round, the new ones are hexagonal.

Strange... I was browsing through the site and I found these additional images of the M80 v2's and the binding posts are identical to mine: http://www.axiomaudio.com/global/images/products/gallery/cable_inputs.jpgI guess the updates had already taken place when I purchased my speakers... And this was in the summer of '03.
