Randy, all that talk about headroom and better sound at all volume levels has no factual basis and vanishes when subjected to properly controlled blind listening tests(especially with the volume exactly matched, the failure to do so being a common reason, along with wishful thinking, for hearing wondrous benefits). If the amplification is flat from 20Hz-20KHz and distortion and noise are at inaudibly low levels(common these days)that's all there is; there ain't no more. Unused excess power capacity is simply that: unused.
