i have my 80's bi-wired as well, And no i couldnt tell a difference either... However, the 8 gauge 4 conductor cable im using is as big around as a hose, so i just decided to leave it because it looks alot better than my skinny little AQ type 4's.

And hey what the heck, differnce or not i figure the bigger the better. And no I didnt pay alot for it. Nothing infact. It was used when we had a 13KW generatator, It provided the power from the generator to our entire house. I figure it does the job.

I agree Rick, it has been discussed many times that bi-wiring does not accomplish anything that a single wire of equal AWG gives you. Bi-amping, now that is a different story.

And, for the record, even bi-amping is not likely to make much difference unless you are running a good electronic crossover before the amps so that you are feeding different signals into the two amps.

And even *then*, I wouldn't bother bi-amping unless you already had a big-ass amp and couldn't get anything bigger

Mine are fake bi-wired.

I left the binding straps in place. Mainly because with my quad cable, it's a lot easier to wire to 4 posts than 2.

well, unless you are raising your cables off the ground, and the cables are very high quality. High quality cables are easy to spot-just look at the price tag-the dollar amount is actually a 1:1 representation of the signal quality the cable is rated to transport. That's why music sounds better in Canada.
