Hi guys, its been few years since I've been in this forum. I have the M60ti and vp150 I bought back in 2004. I noticed that the new models now say M60v2 but they look the same in the pics. Are these speakers different? By the way I'm about to buy some QS8s and was just wondering if I should get the older model or get v2?

They are the same speakers, The only things that have really changed are the grill mounts and grills,Binding posts, accesory pack (spikes, rubber feet) and depending on the model some minor xover tweaks.

At least these are all the things different from my m80's ordered in 06 and my M80's ordered in 02

Go ahead and order your new speakers with no fear

Thanks, I'm glad the sound did not change. Maybe I can pick up some factory or used mint black qs8s anyone has for sell to save money. I can't remember where the link to the factory. I'm excited to get back into home theater again since I'm buying a house next month.

If you click on the "Store" link at the top, the link to the Factory Outlet stuff is on that page. Im lazy, otherwise I would post the link.

When you say "problem" what are you saying? The factory outlet speakers are just as brand new as regular stock, carry the same warranty, etc. Speakers that are sold through the outlet may have very very slight nicks or blemishes, but most of us have yet to find anything wrong with them.

Hi ereed,

When you open up the Axiom home page, look on the left side of the page, under "Shop by Category." Factory Outlet is the last one, beneath Stands and Brackets.

Ok, I see the link. By the way Alan, is there a difference between the ti version I bought in 2004 versus the V2 on the site now other than the grills? Reason I'm asking is cause I'm wondering if I should go with v2 for the qs8s or get the ti version to make them match? The only difference I see looking at pics is that it now says Axiom instead of the letter A on the tweeter part.

They are the same thing, no difference.

Axiom constantly makes little improvements to the products... I think the V2 designation was really an acknowledgement that it was probably time to let the world know about all the changes.

There isn't really any specific big difference between v1 and v2, more like "after about 6 minor changes they started callimg them v2's".
