I'm wondering if anyone else has a solution for this ..

I have my television (a Sony LCD) on a tv stand in the corner. I'm struggling to find a way to properly position my VP150 center.

I can't wall mount it as it's too far away and there's a window on one side. I saw some shelf that just sit on top of your television but I don't think they'll work with my Sony as it's back is vertical and the little feet won't be able to properly grip. I can't hang it form the ciling as it's just way too far away and it's vaulted.

I did see one solution that might work from Vantage Point, a bracket that attaches to the back of the LCD. You have to buy a matching Vantage point wall mount to make it work, but they're not that expensive. Unfortunately the system is only rated to 15lbs, and it looks like the VP-150 only has one mounting point so I'm not sure how well it would work.

Anyone have a better idea? I suppose I could just buy a stand and set it on the TV stand behind the television but that seems rather hokey.

Lebaige, welcome. Is there room on the TV stand directly under the set to place the VP150?

Not really. It's a small minimalist wood cabinet, I have the receiver in the bottom behind doors and an XBOX 360 on the "vcr shelf" directly below the television.

I'm kind of wondering how anyone mounts the VP150 at all actually, given it's only got one mounting point ont he rear. I would think given it's weight it would not hold still very well like that.

How about something like this?

Lot's of folks use Axiom's FMB to support their VP1xx.

This is what I built. It floats the 150 lightly above the DLP without putting any weight on the TV:

Mark, your TV stand looks exactly like mine except for the parts that aren't black... and the fact that it's not on feet. I actually have two, one for each system. I got them on sale at Target at different times, $80 apiece, and they seem to work pretty well. Is that where you got yours?

Yes, it was from Target.

I have a window behind my seating position, so I replaced the legs with slides so it would sit lower and reduce glare. The angle of incidence equals the angle of reflectance.....

For awhile they were available in Maple/silver:

and all black, then it seemed as though only the black was available. The Maple was a bit too light to match my Axioms, so I bought the black and fabricated a replacement top, front rail and new drawer fronts to match the Axioms....

Mark,

Have you considered marketing your stand?

Might be a new money making hobby.
