Anyone have any reccomendations for stands that work well with Axiom speakers?

Of course the one's for sale here on the site probably due the job admirably, but I would like a choice. Plus, I dont think the cherry colored speakers would look too great on a black platform with a silver pole.

Any ideas?

This and this are good places to start browsing. I use the Wood Technology center channel stand for my VP150, and like it a lot.

I built my own stands. I have 4 pine support beams on each, with the top and base made from thick mdf. I used a jigsaw to cut the top of the stands to fit the m22s perfectly. the wood only cost $16 cnd, and they look amazing. Plus I was able to make them at just the right height.

I got the SS16 and I do really like the way it looks with my M22s. The black is much more neutral than the boston cherry of my speakers. It helps that my audio rack is mahogany-stained MDF with zinc-plated threaded rods. You should probably have something silver in color in order to match.

It is worth noting that if you leave your grills off, the aluminum woofer looks nice next to the aluminum part of the stand.

I use a pair of Atacama Nexus 20" stands with the cherry M22s. They are beautiful and very sturdy--thus far (knock on wood) my young boys have yet to knock them down--and place the M22s at perfect listening height. The top of the stand is also perfectly sized for the M22s.

I filled the Atacamas with lead shot from a local gun store--one standard-sized bag of standard-sized shot was enough for both. Since I placed the stands on a hardwood floor, I also bought some black base footers--mine are Lovan, but there are other brands. Regular blue poster tack holds the speakers to the stands (amazingly forcefully) and the footers to the floor.

AudioAdvisor sells the Atacamas. This link may take you there: http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productdetail.asp?Variant=1&AttribNum=2&pf_id=4661&sku=ATANEXUS10&selAttribute_1=Black&selAttribute_2=20+in

By the way, in the course of composing this reply, I discovered that I have four brand-new Lovan black base footers left over (I thought I would need them for the sub, but didn't). If anybody wants them for US$10 + shipping, they're yours.

Good luck with the stands!
