I've never owned a cool car. I'm planning on having something freakin' awesome to make up for that when I find time for a mid-life crisis!

That is about the only Camaro that I have ever really liked, and I've just seen the first pictures of it about 3 months ago. Maybe it is because my dad had a '67 Pontiac Firebird (back when it had real chrome) convertible. So I have fallen victim of the Pontiac vs. Chevy thing. I am really liking this version of the Camaro though.
Anyway, that is another story.
There are some cool Stangs out there, but they are usually chocked full of aftermarket parts, even if they are good like Saleen models. My problem is that no "cool" car has exclusivity. Even the $100,000+ cars are becoming more and more common place. What ever happened to cars that were made by hand at a pace of less than 50 a year? Oh well.
Hey, here is a one of a kind Stang. It would sell for about $100,000 if they mass produced it, but they are never making it... The guy at Ford says "that isn't what the Mustang is all about."

It was Van Halen that I had blasting. This is the car I REALLY wanted. There was a beauty just like this for sale at the end of my street. I was all ready to buy it when my mother decided I should have someone give it a good once over first. I'm glad she did, because though it was GORGEOUS on the surface (both inside and out) it was all rusted out underneath.  They had just given it a really nice paint job, but didn't repair the rust damage to the underbody.  The next car I had my mind set on was this...  *sigh* yeah, a 1969 Corvette. It was in great shape too...alas my mom nixed the idea, saying "you'll get yourself killed in that thing!" (Mothers don't always make sense...the '69 camaro was ok, and ultimately she even encouraged me to get the '87 IROC!) Damn you guys...you've brought back my love for 60's muscle cars! I'd forgotten how much I dug them!

I bought this car in Siver in 1973, it had 30,000 miles on it and was in mint condition I paid $800.00 for it, boy I wish I still had it. 1968 Firebird 400 [image]  [/image]

I had a 69 Firebird 400 back in 1978. That was one sweet ride.
