Doug, it isn't entirely clear what setup you're proposing for that other room. If you're going to use an inexpensive stereo receiver, for example, you can simply set it to mono and drive it from one channel(both are identical in mono, of course)wired to the VP150.

I want to use my spare 150 in another room with same music as mains but in mono for the single speaker.

I don't have a receiver that I can set to mono.

Alan's suggestion sounds interesting. I cound use my unused Outlaw monoblock from the preouts for zone 2 if this is possible.

Okay Doug, that clarifies the matter a bit; you don't want to use a stereo receiver, but instead a mono amp. Sure, Zone 2 preouts can send the same(or for that matter different)program material from your 3805 to the VP150 in another room, but it's not a good idea to do it with just a Y-connection. The left channel sound, for example, doesn't know that it's supposed to follow just the branch into the amplifier, so it also runs up the other leg of the Y into the right channel pre-out. Here's a discussion of the matter, with suggested circuitry.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

have you ever thought about returning your VP150 (that is boxed) for an exchange for M22s or something? Sheesh!

well, since it is un-used, I am sure that Axiom would trade you up if you bought something more expensive than a pair of M3s (such as M22s which are more than a VP150).

You never know until you try

I used the speaker for a year before changing to the M3 centers.
