Reviews on AudioReview.com. This unknown-to-me company seemed to have a whole lot of speakers in the top 10 or top 20 list in their respective categories, but priced way less than the competition. Started researching and found this forum. Haven't looked back since.

My wife mentioned to a friend that I was researching the purchase of new speakers and the friends husband passed on the axiom website. He said that he kept coming across the Axiom name on different reviews. The first time he actually heard them was at my house.

I was going to upgrade my stereo system,...and U.S.A. made 80's JBL speakers. After finding the JBL web site, and their new, black, made in Mexico speaker models.......I KNEW I needed to look for a new speaker company.
I was only able to look on line, now and then at work,.............so it took a while. I did also look at the local Sound Advice (Tweeters) and (other than the Martin Logans).....I didn't hear anything special.
The speakers were all about the same (to me), at the local Best Buy, and Circuit City.........so, I typed in "speakers" on the web at work, and there,...was the Axiom web site.
Unlike the JBL, (and some other speaker web sites) here, was a site done the way it should be! (as we all know).
I took that proverbial "leap of faith", bought my M60s, and........here I am.

I'm not really sure. I think it might have been a banner at one of those audioholic like sites. I had been slowly been climbing the speaker ladder, going from a pair of Pioneer bookshelf speakers, to a pair of Yamaha towers. It was the Yamahas and my son's insistence that made me start looking at audiophile grade speakers. I did some auditioning and thought I had hit the mother lode with some B&W bookshelf speakers, but alas, this was another wrong turn. It was this last disappointment that made me look at ID speakers, and I spent a couple months on the Axiom board bugging the members until I finally ordered some M22s. I've been an Axiom fan ever since

One of the Audioholics’ recommended systems from last year. After about two months of research on the net and listening to speakers locally I went with Axiom.
Two deciding factors were the positive reviews Axiom was getting and from reading forums. I was very impressed by the honesty and fairness to other systems I was seeing here in the Axiom forum, especially when compared to the occasional nasty comments I was seeing about Axiom speakers in another forum.

In December of 2001 I was thinking of new speakers and read the excellent SoundStage review and NRC measurements on the M22, which led me to the Axiom site which I'd been unaware of before. I posted a few times in the following 2-3 months as "anonymous"(no registration required to post in those days)and in March of 2002 ordered my M22s, which I've found no good reason to change. One humorous post I recall from those days was from a purported M2 listener who claimed that the tweeter not only made his ears bleed but left a metallic taste in his mouth. I suggested that while listening he chew a mint to kill the taste and stuff cotton into his ears to absorb the blood. He was upset at not being taken seriously.

I think I discovered Axiom via the Soundstage reviews. It's relatively hard to find their review index page but once you *find* that page it doesn't take long to find yourself typing credit card numbers into the Axiom site

Early in '03 I was looking to put together a 2 ch system in the garage as that's where I was spending my time.I had scored a decent kenwood integrated for $30.00 and was looking for some acceptable sounding inexpensive speakers. I somehow got it in my head that... (hangs head in shame) BOSE 201's would be all that. I went on an internet quest for a deal on them and before long I had read dozens or posts on various forums exposing the truth. So I dug in- determined to get something worth having for $200. The JBL's that look like 201's were in the running, but in one of those forums I came across a review of the M3's comparing them to speakers costing $2k. Then I found a few more reviews saying the same things. The Axiom message board was a big positive, and I liked the "factory outlet" option as these would be covered with overspray and crud in no time. The lack of a wall mount was a downer but there was talk of one in the works so I sucked it up and ordered a pair. I compared them to my nht super ones and was quite impressed. They took their places in the garage and a year later the FMB came out and they got positioned properly. Still thought those q's looked way cool, but I was mr 2ch, having shunned prologic1 after hearing a freind's system. By '05 I was watching tv on dvd with the 2ch system, and prologic had passed, so I sucked it up again and bought the q's and an add-on processor. The vp150 was next, then it got expensive- lets not talk about that.

I honestly can't remember Maybe Axiom discovered me? I just remember finding the site sometime in late 2001/early 2002 and visiting regularly until my basement finish project became a reality 3 years later in 2005. I'm here to stay (as most of us are I'm sure).

I think it was just before or after 2000. I saw and heard the "0" and "1" series in a local store. Frankly I wish I'd bought a set, the QS2s were amazing, they would have been perfect for a computer room. A year later I was in Toronto and auditioned an M3 at that point I knew what I wanted. It must have been around that time I found the website. The BB was very basic in the early days, very few members and most of them used the user name "anon", well except for BBIBH It's been an amazing ride for Axiom over the last 8 or more years since I stumbled across them.

To expand on my statement that I discovered axiom through a banner on the AVS forums...I've been looking for dipole/bipole speakers and saw the QS8 on a banner on the AVS forums. I was curious so I read some reviews and now I'm saving to buy a pair (my first axiom venture).

Amen brother!
Once I decided to get into this whole HT hobby and replace 15-20 year old equipment, I did my normal in-depth (some might call it obssessive) research.
I went into every HT forum I could find and read the speaker threads. Narrowed down the choices and then searched for reviews and user comments. Axiom popped up quite regularly and with positive comments.
The clincher was when I saw several comments about the M60s sounding very much like B&W 703s (they do) and then went to listen the 703s. Wow, sold.

Ya, I wanted Canadian speakers too, while researching I came across Axiom through audioholics shootout of the M22 with 4 other bookshelf models (one priced at $1500) and the Axiom came out on top overall for $400 at the time (inflation now!)
That review sold me 100%. And I have been selling my friends on Axiom ever since!

I honestly don't remember, but I know it was from searching on the web. I did own Paradigms previously, and also enjoyed the sound of PSB speakers, so I suppose the whole Canadian thing was already heavy on my mind.

I just kinda stumbled into the forums. I think it was via a Google search on another speaker and it coughed up a "Speaker A vs. M60, please advise" link to the forums here.

I was actually looking for an entertainment center and found the review of the BDI Axis series on Audioholics. I liked the way the way the Axis Congnac matched the Axiom Boston Cherry in the pic/link below. After reading the reviews on Axiom, the rest is history. BDI_Axiom

I had been researching speakers on the internet, mainly through the cnet.com site, where someone mentioned avsforum. Then, reviews through audioholics via avsforum pointed me to the axiom brand. The EP500 and QS8 reviews were enough for me to investigate further, and go for the M22 Epic Grand Master package.

Did some listening locally and a lot of Internet research. Can't remember where I first saw the name but it turned up a few times I read some reviews. After some great reviews that, if true, meant a great product for the money, I lurked on this board for a while and all of the talk of great customer service convinced me to risk ordering them unheard and be confident I could return them if I didn't like them.
Goes to show, Axiom, this board pays for itself when it comes to those floundering with a decision to try a speaker unheard (which I previously thought should be unheard of...)
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I discovered Axiom through the posts at the Polk website . Initially I dismissed the thought of doing any research on Axiom. I went to bed and when I got up in the morning, my lack of thoroughness was gnawing at me. After a month of research (including watching the posts), I decided to pull the trigger. Fate brought us together and now we will live happily ever after 'till death do us part .

I heard Peter's M22s (after being aghast that he bought them unheard online) and was amazed--the only thing I had heard that were better (maybe?) were some Magnepans. I couldn't afford Maggies (in either dollars or WAF points), so I got the M50s and was very happy with them. I'm even happier with my M80s...

Hey, that was the thing that set me apart from the others....STUPIDTY!!! Anyway, I heard Axiom in a few local retail stores in 1990ish. Bought the AX3's, and was on holiday in The Dwight area in 1991, and stopped in. I have some pictures somewhere....just moved, and I will try and dig them out.....suffice to say it was a FAR cry from what the last few company pictures show!!!
