I'll be buying my first home theater setup shortly. This is what I have picked out so far:

M3ti Bookshelves
QS4 Surrounds
VP100 Center

Adire Rava sub
Marantz SR5200 receiver

I haven't bought anything yet. The total for everything I have picked out is about $3550. This includes -everything- including: new TV, dvd player, cables, remote, surge protector, dvd storage, etc. I don't have a set budget, but I won't have a lot of cash left to buy new dvds and cds after buying all of this.

My room size is 15 x 10.5 ft. I'll be 4-5 feet away from the tv/front speakers. If I spend an extra $245, I can get M22ti's and a VP150. I'm wondering if this will be well worth the money if I choose these over the M3's and VP100, considering the size of my room. I know they're better speakers, but does it really just come down to how much I'm willing to spend? I hate those type of decisions

The M22's are "better" than the M3ti's. They have a different sound. The M3ti is a more "laid back" sound, where the M22 is more crisp and clear. Some people like one sound over the other. It really depends on which sound you like. Most Axiom owner prefer the clarity of the M22, but it's really up to you and your ear.

The VP150 on the other hand is a different story. I've never heard the VP100, but it's pretty unanimous around here that if it's feasible in your budget, get the VP150, so that's what I did, and have not regretted it. The VP150 is great.

Just a quick note on Axiom speaker characteristics...

Laid back/Subdued

M3ti
M40ti
M50ti

Crisp/Clear

M2ti
M22ti
M60ti
M80ti

Sounds like you're going to have a great new system. Enjoy!
