Hi Everybody
I was lucky to come across Axiom speakers accidentaly whlie browsing ecoustics.com forum. I was immediately attracted by Tower speakers once I was on the Axiom website. I was doubly surprised as well delighted to discover that they deliver all over the world in true sense a Global company. And above and over shipping is free all over the world This is amazing. So I started reading the reviews avidly and discovered that compared to their price the M80' s are audiophile grade speakers and Axiom even claims that boldly " Ultra-clean, ultra-smooth audiophile speakers" And this is what I just wanted someone who loves what they produce and not just for money. This sounds really great.
I live in Germany ( but my German is not so good) and here are few good speaker making companies and also some very good direct internet sale companies but the Axiom offer is best in that size towers additional I can easily read the english forums and gain from other M80 user´s experience
So I am very happy. Also it another great of a 30 day trial period !!!!!
I have few questions before I take the jump and order these beautiful speakers( from my impression from reading all the pro and user reviews)
I have a NAD C372 Amp and NAD C542 CD player and a Phillips DVD Player Mostly I will use them for music listening with a occasional movie so here are my questions
1. How is the sound qulaity at moderate volume levels like night listening? ( my girl friend likes low level sound exactly opposite of me )
2. Is NAD C372 adequate enough for M80s
3. How is it on music front?

I generally run my M80s at what many would consider extraordinarily low volumes. They sound quite good, but they really sing when you start turning them up. They still reproduce lots of detail at low volumes, but of course at low volumes, you can't hear that detail. If I stand close to the speakers at low volumes, of course I can hear it all.

I'm pretty sure you will love the m80's if you get them. How big is your room? I think even at low-moderate levels they sound great.

Historically, there have been a few products that have issues driving the 4ohm 80's, but I think NAD is one that has been pretty decent. The 80's don't really dip below 4 ohms, so as long as the NAD can drive 4ohm loads, you should be fine...

Width: 4.20 m ( 14 ft)
Length: 5 m(16.5 ft)
Height: 2.43 m(8ft)
Approximate Listening position From speakers: 3 m (9.8 ft)
Distance between speakers :2 .7m(8.9 ft) I have planned already where to keep them Is the room too small for them ?
I am attracted by the unique 2 Tweeter 2 Midrange configuration of M80s over M60s and money is not constraint

Your NAD will have no problems at all with the M80s. You should do well with the M80s in a room of your size though it might take some tweeking to get things right. The M80s do very good with lower volumes as well as high.

I'm about the same distance from my 80s and the wife likes the low and slow tunes. 80s work perfect.

I too have M80s and you can check out my room and response here. I get excellent detail at these low listening levels of about 75 dB. You will absolutely fall in love with these speakers!

Herm, welcome. We're confident that you'd be delighted with the M80s. Your 372 should have more than enough maximum output capability, especially in your size room, since the M80s are slightly higher than average in sensitivity. The separation and listening distance numbers you give look good; less that about 8-9' of distance might not be good from the standpoint of giving the M80 drivers room to "blend".
