I seem to be having a strange problem logging into the Message Board here at Axiom. I log in and enter in my password and click the remember my password check box. A week later I have to do the same thing again. It seems every week I have to reenter my id and password. Anyone else getting this or is it just me?

I usually never have this problem when I click the Remember Me box on other sites.

I have to relog in every once in a while, but I haven't really paid attention if it's a weekly occurence. I think it's every few weeks, or so.

I would venture that your computer is deleting your cookies ever so often, it happens to me every couple weeks.

I have noticed the same problem, primarily at work though. My assumption was that some of the IT-scripted policies had changed and cookies were being deleted more aggressively, although I suppose the Axiom site could be setting an earlier expiry date on the cookies.

Of course I went to look at a cookie to see and couldn't find any. Where does XP park them these days ?

They are stored under Documents and Settings for each user.

I think this happens most often if you check the forum from more than one computer.

good to know I'm not the only one. I just set my cookie for Axiom to read only. Maybe that will stop it from being deleted.

Talking about eating cookies, on Thursday I had to stay home from work due to a bad case of summer allergies. I ended up going through a complete package of chocolate chip cookies. I did feel guilty as I devoured every single one of them...so I then switched over to a bag of sunchips which I devoured as well. I figured since I'm home sick might as well getting really sick. It never felt better getting so sick lol

I’ve been having troubles not only with logging in, but the sight has seemed very slow lately.

I’m running Vista and I have to log in every time I open the browser. I don’t know why it’s screwing with me either. I have Axiom set up as a trusted sight without any restrictions, and I still have troubles… It may be a Vista thing, but most likely a “me” thing. – I hate computers and they like me even less.

I too have had problems with the site over the last week-and-a-half. I find that it is slow sometimes and it logs me off.

The site has been very slow at times for me too. It also shows posts as not being read but when I check them out I see I have aready read the posts.

Yeah, Wid. Good point. I have the same problem with posts not being shown as read. I'm not sure that's a server issue though. I thought it might be my browser. I just haven't thought about it too much.

Thanks for the information. Our IT guy, Jim, will be trying a few fixes this week to address some of the issues you have been experiencing.

There is still a long standing issue that started the last time you updated to the current version of UBB Threads. Many times when you read a thread, the next time you come to the Axiom forum, it still shows as if you did not read it. In the past, once you read the latest posts, it would not show as if there are new entries unless someone else adds to the thread.

It happens for me too, I just assumed they set the stale date on the cookie only a week or two ahead, unlike some that are good until 2017 or something.
