I wonder how the new cables from axiom will perform relative to other 'audiophile' brands (Audioquest, MIT, Nordost, etc...).
I have to buy IC and speaker cables so I'll hold until they are available. Any news as to when these will ship?

They'll sound like other cables. Any other decent quality cables. I'm just going to put myself in the camp that says cables don't really matter as much as the high end companies would like you to think they do. See Alan's article in the latest newsletter. In other words, they matter a bit, but don't morgage the house to buy them.

Enjoy the flamewar!

I agree. Most of the cable reviews I've read have very questionable 'science' behind them. I just hope that Axiom cables will have the same value/performance ratio that speakers like the M3s and M22s have.

That's what I'm hoping, too. I'd like to get some replacement video cables. At the moment, I'm using old ADB cables I had lying around.

For those who aren't Mac users, those are the old keyboard cables that Macs used before USB came along. They're theoretically same as s-video cables, but I doubt that they're quite up to spec for video.

Oh crap, I'm falling into the cable trap!

Well, until I get a new digital TV, I've got all the cables I need right now. Whenever that day comes, I'll be in the market for a good component video cable. Seems odd to buy a video cable from a speaker company though.

From everything I have read on this board, what the experts at axiom say, and what the company seems to use at their selling point, I will be VERY surprised if these cables are not sold at a REASONABLE price.

time will tell I guess.
