My conscience is struggling, I prefer not to buy Monster but...their Superflat cable is pretty much what I'm looking for. I need a flat, low-profile wire I can run under a carpet. Per foot, it's a reasonable price and Fry's has smaller spools.

I checked RAM, Monoprice and partsexpress and can't find a similar wire. Any ideas to stop me from going to the 'dark side'?

BTW, I decided not to go the Decorp Flatwire route. I'd prefer a 12 ga cable that's close to a stanard wire.

A better choice. Wire theory aside, (puts back lighter,) wiring under carpet tends to wear physically a lot faster if being walked on even if taped down properly. However, you were probably running along wall lines were there is less footwork but doors might still have posed a problem.

I still have some Monster super flat elite, and love it. It's very flexible, and ... OK kevlar nomex suit on ... love the sound quality through these speaker cables.

I also used some flat AR. It was cheaper, less flexible ... and OK, call the police ... I think it didn't sound as good as the Monster.

2X6,

I'll have to show you my beaver one day. I am sure you of all people would appreciate it.

yeah, looks like I may end up w/ the Monster. Even though Accessories4less is cheaper, the shipping makes it on par. Man, they should figure out a better shipping model.

I was trying to figure out what you were referring to so I googled beaver and Paris Hilton and...well...I guess I need to learn how to get my thoughts across better. No, I don't have one of those and if I did, I wouldn't show it to you anyway .

Here is the beaver; a 20 pound package of granite and aluminum. Music is tighter and smoother with this on my 600. JohnK will be around I'm sure to explain to us the physics behind this phenomenon.
