I don't think that you are completely correct that Denon's have the best Audyssey. There are 3 different Audyssey's avaliable right now: EQ2, MultiEQ and MultiEQ pro. The EQ2 and MultiEQ are avaliable in different AV recievers, but the MultiEQ pro is a $2500 unit that goes between the preamp and amp. The pro version does also equalize the sub and has a lot more microphone placements as well. Check out the review on audioholics from last year, it sounds amazing.

That is correct, I was referring to onboard AVR versions.
