Settings on cd player

Since my receiver has been calibrated with distance, loudness, large or small settings, I'm not sure if my cd/dvd player need to have the same exact settings as the receiver or should the cd/dvd be set to 0. Its a pioneer 45a. Thanks

You will need to make those settings for DVD-Audio (assuming your player has that), using the analog cables (which you have to do to get real DVD-A sound). If you're using a digital connection for CD and DVD, then you do not have to set the levels on the player.
