I'm a proud new owner of a pair of M60's & QS8's and a VP150 to go with an HSU sub. What receivers work best with the Axiom speakers? I need to upgrade for HDMI, etc.

Welcome,

Congrats on your new speakers! There is no "one" receiver that works best for Axiom speakers. I would say look for the bells and whistles your looking for in the price range of your budget and you'll be fine.

sirquack - I see in your sig you've Audyssey enabled with your Denon. I take it you like the results? Are you using the XT or Pro version?

If your reading his sig, Then the Odyssey hes talking about are Monoblock amplifiers. A couple of the members here have them. Including me!

Wow, that's how long a day I've had - "Aud" vs. "Ody"

Flht, another welcome and congratulations on your fine speakers, which should give you great enjoyment. As Randy commented, Axiom speakers don't have any unusual amplification requirements, so any competently designed receiver will work well. Make your decision based on the features that you want and your budget. If the budget was specified, we could of course name some possibilities for your consideration.

not a problem, that is my attempt at mind control. If you want to see some pretty crazy stuff just search for "derren brown" on youtube.

Thanks for the replies. I have an older Onkyo receiver now, and their new 705 or 805 look very nice. But the new Denon 3808ci (more than I want to spend) keeps calling my name. So, I am not sure which way to go.

With nothing better to do while I wait for my new speakers to arrive, I downloaded and read thru the owners manuals. I just realized that the QS8's are a 6ohm speaker. has anyone had any issues running this speaker with the Onkyo tx-sr705/805?
