Hey all,

Finally got a new camera, and got my home studio all set up. This camera is not the greatest with indoor shots, so hopefully they aren't too crappy!

And an updated pic from my theatre with the M2 Centres...

Nice pictures! I haven't seen a computer that color in almost three years.

Sigh...

I know, the computer is pretty much last on my list for upgrading as it currently runs the program I require...

Next on the list however, is the Axiom 2-channel bookshelf amp, which I am told is slated to be released in November...I can hardly wait!

If it ain't broke.... I know very well how a "want to upgrade" list competes with a "want to buy" list.

Well, right now I am using the internal amp of my 8 year old JVC mini-stereo in AUX mode to power the speakers...

An amp will most likely change the sound of the speakers compared to those JVC amps...

I am hoping it will be like when I bought that USB audio Lexicon device...MAN! I was originally using my mini-stereo jack out on the computer to a R/L RCA, when that USB audio interface came in, the sound difference was quite astounding, especially with the low end, bass sounded much fuller, kick drums sounded crisp, everything as a whole improved...it was much easier on my ears too when am I down there for more than 4 hours at a time.

The M3s are proving to be great studio monitors...I have trouble with that bass hump tho, I am really considering doing some bass trapping in those 2 front corners...the bass hump is VERY pronounced at times with the bass lines I come up with.

I haven't hooked up my M22s in there yet (which is what I ultimatly want for studio monitors, a pair of charcoal M22s...mmmmmmm).

I am going to use My M22s in there probably in the next couple days, I'll report back with the differences.

Rick,

Both the studio and the theatre are in the basement separated only by a short hallway. My house is long and skinny like, so the theatre is on one side of the basement, the studio is on the other. So, in other words, this is pretty much the typical "mans" basement, however, I would like a bigger studio, but that will come in time.

I wouldn't know Robb, basements down our way is totally non-existent ... although I have seen a couple of them on the HGTV channel a time or two.

I *really* envy you folks with a basement.

Pretty nice digs indeed. I miss having a basement.
