I've just ordered an M80 system and am searching the net for the speaker cables I'll need. I have two questions... one specific and one general.

The first, (and here goes my ignorance) I'm assuming the EP350 subwoofer requires dual inputs, correct?

Also, any suggestions on good, affordable cables? I've read a lot of posts, but not sure yet. Thanks

Steve, although the sub has two line level inputs, only one(either one, they combine inside the sub)has to be connected to the sub out on the receiver. Any shielded coaxial cable is fine, so don't worry about it. Pick something up at RadioShack or wherever else it might be convenient and don't pay more than about a dollar a foot.

If you're also referring to cables for the other speakers, regular lamp cord is as good as anything, so don't waste any money there either.

Thanks John. That's very helpful. Seems to be a lot of back and forth over the merits of expensive cables. I was coming to the conclusion you stated on my own, but appreciate your advice. Steve

There is a good article here which goes well with what John said. I personally would recommend at least 12 gauge zip cord for speaker cables, some of that lamp cord is small depending upon where you get it.

I used these from rat shack

with KnuKonceptz cable.

Cost me about $30 bucks per cable for 12' cables. I like the radio shack ones because they are solderable. AND, when you rotate the cylinder, it widens the tip and locks the plug into the connector. Pretty slick, didn't see any ones (I even bought the parts express ones and returned them) that had this ability.
