I just did a comparison on the difference between the VP100/VP150 and came to the same conclusion, that the 2 in parallel is the best center I have heard.

It is possible to get seperate amped dual center channels, if you bought the A1400 or similar(a small seperate stereo amp also), and put a 'Y' adapter into the output from the pre/pro center channel, connect it to 2 seperate amp channels, you would then have 2 centers off 2 different amps. Maybe dual centers will show up on the high end pre/pro's first and start the trickle down effect.
