Alright so my speakers have arrived have been unboxed and installed. these are outlet speakers and i've been able to find a few minor defects on some of them but nothing anyone would ever notice as they all seem to be on the bottom of the speakers and it's barely noticeable. my Camera can't even pick up the defects!(so no defect specific pictures) link below to the speaker images, don't have the greatest camera so the pictures aren't crystal but you get the idea.

oops. here's the link http://www.picturetrail.com/uid10035077

The pictures are great. So what do you think of the system?

Haven't had much chance to listen to it but i watched a bit of serenity and it was pretty good especially the surround, it had much more "where's that coming effect" than my previous surrounds. Now here's the downside to my new speakers. unless i can find a day where there is nobody at home at the apartment above. below and to the side of my own i won't truly be able to hear the potential of these things. i did however have to turn the bass to pretty much 0 and even at that level it's pretty impressive. gotta say im very impressed with how they look. i actually had some nightmares that there'd be these huge marks on the speakers but barely anything, you have to pick up the speakers and look on their bottoms to even see anything and even then you really have to look closely. come next spring i should really be able to pump these babies up in what will hopefully be my new house, then i can come back and pick myself up a subwoofer or 2 \:\)

The speakers look awesome, congrats!! I wish I could have that excitement of getting new speakers all over again.

They look good with the grills on in your setup.

Yeah, neighboors can be the only thing between you and total Axiom bliss. \:\(

Organize a BBQ in the backyard and just tell them that "you forgot something back up" and don't come down until you have put 3-4 solid hours of listening!

Do they sound better than the Kenwoods?

yes, better than the kenwoods. though i still say the kenwoods weren't all bad. bookshelves had 7 inch woofers so they gave out good bass...anyhoo they're being donated to my father now. poor old man thought he got a deal on some nice speakers from a van that happened to be white... so. listened to Dark side of the moon 5.1 mix and all i can say is putty...putty in the hands or ports of my axioms. it was amazing, was good with my old speakers but with these ones wow and i think it got better as it went on (break in?) anyways DSOTM 5.1 has sold me on my speaker investment. if you've never listened to the DSOTM 5.1 mix do yourself a favour and get it

I have it...in SACD...but I have no SACD player due to Oppo issues. It's a long story.

Just imagine what it would sound like with the 80/150/QS8/600 \:D .

Nicely done, your VP100 fits in perfectly.

If you keep your bass down some you should be able to give your new speakers a bit of a workout. Bass really travels and annoys, but highs and mids should be okay. Alternatively invite over the neighbours for a beer and movie ;\)

As for your break in, this is definitely true but it's your ears and brain getting used to the Axiom sound...they truly do sound better the more you listen, enjoy.
