I've heard the 80s and the 60s. The 60s are more laid back and the 80s are more revealing. Bass on the 80s is exceptional. Details that are veiled by the 60s are readily apparent with the 80s. So far, the 80s are the most impressive speaker system that I have heard within their class and slightly higher. You will not be disappointed with the 60s but if you ever hear the 80s in a 60/80 A/B test, you may get the upgrade bug.

I had the 60s and 80s in my house for about a month and as I mentioned in another post recently the 60s sound very similar/exactly the same(?) to the 80s when played at higher volumes. Tha advantage of the 80s is you get that same sound even at low levels.

The extra gain helps punch up those subtlties that the 60s don't normally present at lower volumes. THe 60s become more forward and airy/open in their presentation a those higher volumes.
