Hi all,
I have decided the I will be getting the VP150 center, QS8 side surrounds, M3Ti for rear surrounds, and a SVS 25pci for the sub. That leaves the front left and right speakers. The room will be a dedicated HT with accoustically treated walls and will be pretty much air tight. The 2 front speakers will be 7 feet apart and will be around 9 feet from the first row and about 12 feet from the second row. The room size is 11x17.5x7. Would you recommend the 60 Towers or the M22Ti's for my left and right front speakers. I am think of going with the M22ti's but want to make sure they will be enough. Don't want to spend all this money on my HT and not have speakers give me that "at the movies" feel. What speakers would you suggest I go with??

Thanks,
Rawley

The M3's will match best with the M40, or M50 towers. Or you could just use another pair of M3's as mains.

What I would do though, is use the M2i as rear surrounds and get a pair of M22's as mains (or M60's if you want to go all out).

The M3, M40 and M50 are Axiom's more "laid" back speakers. The M2, M22, M60 and M80's are Axiom's better known, crisp, clear, more "forward" sounding speakers. It would be best if your fronts and mains were from the same sounding "family".

Good Luck - and have fun!

Thanks for the the reply. I think I will go with the m2i as the rear surrounds instead of the M3's. I am leaning towards the M22's, but again want it to feel like I am at the movie theater, not sitting in a room listen to speakers. I just want to make sure the M22's could easily fill my size of room to make it feel like I am at the movies. Thanks again.

Rawley

The M22's paired with a great sub (Hsu VTF-2 or VTF-3 would work great) in a room your size should work really well.

Rawley, I'd do the following:

FOUR qs8's
TWO M22's or M60's
ONE vp150

and a big SVS or HSU

Thanks to all for their input. I think I will go with the 22's for now and try them out for a few weeks, and then if they don't work, I will get the 60's.

Thanks,
Ron
