Doh, just saw the price from Fender's site ... $17,000. You guys can handle that, right?

Probably a good investment though

You know whenever Fender made the #1 replica a few years ago it sold for about $15,000 from Fender, you can't hardly find one now for under $100k.

Cool video and great story. I read that some time ago in a book I got for fathers day a few years back.

Speaking of SRV videos I picked up a couple of imported dvds today. One was from Germany in 1984 and the other from Daytona Beach Fla 1987. I watched the first one, while the picture was a tad grainy and I have heard better audio it was still a treat to watch.

Man, I thought the Jimi Hendrix 69' white Woodstock (Custom shop) Stratocaster was expensive!
I have owned many Fender's........too bad the pricing now seems to reflect the collectors market, and not even close to the instrument's true value.
