Maybe you all can chip in together and get me one.  LennyI'd hate to guess how much they want for one.  Edited to add... Doh, just saw the price from Fender's site ... $17,000. You guys can handle that, right? Probably a good investment though

You know whenever Fender made the #1 replica a few years ago it sold for about $15,000 from Fender, you can't hardly find one now for under $100k.

Cool video and great story. I read that some time ago in a book I got for fathers day a few years back.
Speaking of SRV videos I picked up a couple of imported dvds today. One was from Germany in 1984 and the other from Daytona Beach Fla 1987. I watched the first one, while the picture was a tad grainy and I have heard better audio it was still a treat to watch.

Man, I thought the Jimi Hendrix 69' white Woodstock (Custom shop) Stratocaster was expensive!
I have owned many Fender's........too bad the pricing now seems to reflect the collectors market, and not even close to the instrument's true value.
