As i said i'm going to get the m-22's, qs-4's and vp 100. I am thinking about getting the onkyo 605. Would this be good match for these speakers? Or maybe the onkyo 705. Or do you have some other suggestions?

Pick which ever one fits your budget and desires best. There really isn't much difference between any of the main players in the better AVR's, Onkyo, Yamaha, Pioneer, Denon. They all have really good Power supplies and amps. The Denons might be a little better with their P/S's and amp sections, but most people will never need the ability to play a speaker array at just over 1 ohm of resistance as some of us on the board have done not too long ago

If the 605 has all the bells and whistles you want then buy it. If the 705 has one particular feature you like better and can afford the price increase then buy that one. And if there is a difference in sound between receivers, tone controls can be used to adjust the sound to your taste.

The only difference between 605 and 705 that is applicable to you is the channel wattage (90 vs. 100). This is not significant. However if you are looking for THX certification then go with 705. 605 does not support that format.

If the 605 has all the features you require it will work well with your choice of speakers.

J, if the 705 is also within your budget, keep in mind that it has the more advanced Audyssey MultEQ equalization, while the 605 has the 2EQ. MultEQ allows for more measurement positions and equalizes the sub, both of which can lead to a more satisfactory result, especially in the bass area. While there have been some negative reports, those users who have carefully followed the suggestions by Audyssey which have appeared on the internet have been generally positive.

I think I had to break in my ears all over again after setting up my Denon 3808 and having the system setup by the Audyssey. I had been running the 3808 manully setup with SPL meter for a few days. After the Audyysey did its thing, my system sounded very different, I wasn't sure I liked it, but as time went by I started picking up on things that were hidden in the sound prior to the AudysseyEQ, now I like it very much.

The 705 also has pre-outs just in case you decide to go with separate amplifiers in the future.

I recently purchased the 705 and have been really happy with it running my M22s, 150, and QS8s.

Thanks for the help guys. I still don't know which one i'm going to get. I guess I will decide when it comes down to pay for it and if I'm strapped for cash.

Have you listened to any other brands such as Denon, Pioneer Elite or Yamaha? Might be worth a listen. Regarding the Onkyo, there is a fair amount of info also over at AVS.
