on switching out my M22's for HG Cherry M80's. But will my H/K AVR635 drive the M80? Or am I looking at a receiver purchase as well?

Hey Josh,

Your HK will rock those 80's, no problem at all. \:\) Good to see you again...

The 635 will drive 'em just fine. Although I'm using a Rotel amp to drive our 80s I've had the 635 drive 'em pretty hard at times, also the 635 is driving our VP100 and 150 in parallel for a load of 3.43 ohms without a problem.

Oh yea ... congrats on the new digs, I bet they are going to look awesome!

Great! Thanks for the input.

Well I've priced this out...Using the free HG Cherry upgrade and the tradup program. I could trade in my Bosten Cherry M22's, VP150, QS8's, and EP500 for HG Cherrry M80's, VP150, QS8's, and TWO EP500's for $2296. Wow that is TEMPTING!

It is tax return time right?

I think my wife might hurt me....

I've done some searches for the pictures of HG Cherry setups but I'm striking out. I know I've seen plenty. Anyone have a link?

I, too, am extremely envious of you speakers-to-be. The more I see the HG Cherry the more it turns into a love/hate relationship. I love the look but hate that the free upgrade will be done by the time I can afford it. Unless....

I missed the free upgrade last time around... So I've been waiting out the purchase since they brought back the deal and I just couldn't resist anymore. I never really liked the Boston Cherry to be honest.

If by "birthday fairy" you mean Axiom offering a special for us birthday boys and girls, then yes, that's exactly what I was thinking ;\)

I think you had everything to do with! I'm still loving them. I get a huge thrill by showing them off. The last quote from a friend was "wow, I thought I had a home theater." Now I'll have to invite him back over for the real show, ;)!

That's too much Randy, you need to keep the 2 350v3's and send me the 600 ... I'll somehow struggle and make it fit into the decor, someway or another.

I can't wait to hear them!! I'm eagerly waiting to feel the power of two EP500's as well. Since I'm a closet bass freak, .

I do have to thank Axiom for the brilliant Trade Up program. Upgraditus hit me hard. I hope the program is working as well for them as it is for us customers, \:\) .

Again, congratulations, that is going to be one crazy awesome home theater. What are you using for the video side of things?

And congrats to you sirquack for the new purchases. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the improvements in bass that come with extra subs. Did you get them in the Ebony finish?

Works very well. I just started using it a few weeks ago. It does support AVI's with a AC3 pass through but it does not stream them very well. Maybe the next Xbox update will fix this.

Definitely looking at the Apple TV update. It's going to support an AC3 pass through as well. In what formats though is the key. Only time will tell, ;\)

I, too, am looking at the new Apple TV, started a thread about it, and am very interesting to see how the video rental feature plays out, especially since it'll offer HD. So Josh, once you buy it, be sure to give me a detailed breakdown of it explaining why I need it over the nullriver program. ;\)
