That totally looks photoshopped. The shadows were all wrong.

Also: Mrs. Osborne is doing something other than cursing at her kids and her husband?

I think the guy who initially gets "cut" is not the same guy you see at the end. The mask helps with that part since we don't get to see his face.

Also, magic is one of the few careers where having been born without legs can be considered an asset....

Yeah, that's probably what it is. Lightbenders, and all that. ;\)

First of all, i think the shadows look pretty spot on. Second of all, this is fuggin TV people...you can't believe anything you see on tv! I know nobody believes the guy was cut in half, the point is that they can do all sorts of edits to make it look seamless.

You must not be a fan of xkcd...

But seriously, the first bit of the performance is pretty easy to figure out. There's a guy bent over with his upper torso in the table. Another guy who was born without legs is perched on top of him so that it looks like one person pushing the table. Then the chainsaw "cuts" the top half off above the fake waist and sends the torso dude onto the table.

The reattachment scene was cut and edited, but not because they wanted to hide anything. They almost ALWAYS cut acts down on that show because they don't have time to show the whole thing on TV. Illusionists appearing on television perfect their acts so that they can stand up to repeated viewing on TV.

Maybe the leg guy is really a midget. Or maybe the leg guys was born without a torso.
