did a couple of searches and came up with nothing, so now i have a question, i am considering getting the epic master 350 now i dont really know if this is a technical question but i need to know if installing the W3's on an exterior insulated wall is recommended or if it is frowned upon, the wall is also 6" deep main floor of a house, will it interfere with the insulations R values (from being crushed pushed back) and what will the obstacle be with the poly-vapor barrier. if it isn't recommended i might be considering the epic 50-350 setup???
any help on this matter would be great.
thanks

That sounds like a question you may want to call Axiom about or send to Alan in a PM.
It looks like it only sticks into the wall 3" so I don't think the R value would be compromised too much, especially if you seperate the Insulation a little and allow it to form around the speakers back cover. I would also recommend looking for a suitable piece of plastic to act as a vapour barrier to surround the back of the speaker and have it sealing around the speaker wire as well. You wouldn't want too much warm air circulating around with the colder air behind that speaker.
Just my 2 cents.

As Jason mentioned, Axiom might be able to provide better advice. One question I have is which speakers will be on this exterior wall, the fronts or surrounds? For surrounds you definately want to go with Q's versus in-walls, an they will mount flush on the wall.
In regards to the insulation, I don't think the W's take up much room within the wall cavity, and insulation "gives" enough that pushing it back or compressing it a little should not hurt one bit. The R value should not change for that little of an area.
I would think you would not want to seperate the insulation as this would create the ability for cool air to find a path. Compressing it back would be better.

The in wall depth of the W speakers won't compromise your R value.
