Well, I'm Lightscribing the discs themselves with as much information as Peter is putting on his, and I'll probably include a sheet with track title and artist info. I'm not sure if I'll include notes on each track or not. It depends on how insightful I feel, or how much I want everyone to yawn.

Also, I'm writing CD-Text info on the discs themselves, so for those with devices that read that information, way to go. I know my ripper is able to extract the CD-Text info, too, though you have to manually select it. Otherwise, it only looks in online databases. I'm not sure how common peeking at CD-Text is in ripping programs, but it's there, for what it's worth.

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's compilations.

I made sure to enable the CD Text option, as well. I was considering (I lie) making an enhanced CD with a video introduction by yours truly, but that would have been over the top. ;\)

My first burn last night toasted my cd\DVD writer. It's making clickey noises like a cog broke some teeth or something. I'm going to throw the spare in from my old PC and although I say I'm going to take the other apart and see if repair, I probably never will.

I almost wish I didn't have a spare. I want to light scribe disks like CV. Just because it takes me one step closer to my dream of owning my own lightsaber.

This evening, I finally sent my mix out to those who requested it -- but only those living below the 49th parallel (Sean, JP, and CV). To my Canadian friends (Graeme and Andrew), you will have to wait a bit longer. I made it to the post office too late and the self-serve machine doesn't handle international addresses. \:\(

If my wife has the time to make it to the post office and wait in line next week, you should have it before too long. I will be traveling on business next week and won't be able to get to it until I return.

For those of you who receive it next week, please let me know your reaction to my track choices.

Sounds good, Peter, thanks! Looking forward to hearing it.

Everyone, I should be getting my CDs out on Monday. I think I finally settled on my track selection yesterday--been tinkering with it all week.

I didn't make it to the post office this week, but I have them all ready to go, finally. The only thing is that I'm not 100% confident in the media I burned to. Some of the discs I've burned have played fine, but others have had slight hiccups depending on the device I'm playing it back on. Anyway, my fingers are crossed that they'll all work fine.

I was tempted to keep changing things, but I didn't want to be a Sean.

Very funny.

Just for that I'm burning you a copy of "Chili Eating Yak Rodeo Festival." It's from the new "Soothing Sounds of Nature" set.

Enjoy.
