The M80s are Axiom's no-compromise top of the line tower speaker, and to address your earlier questions, the M80 is slightly smoother on male and female vocals than the M60s or the M22s and because it has a larger enclosure, the M80 has deeper and more rock-solid lower and upper bass output than the 60, with or without a subwoofer. These differences are not dramatic but they are quite audible on immediate A/B comparisons, which I do at the Axiom plant and at my home (I don't have M60s at my home.)

Moreover, because it uses six drivers per side, the M80s has a musical "ease" at louder listening volumes that is just stunning. Given the size of your room, go with the M80s.

I think an M60 with a sub would be great. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten smaller mains with the EP500s.

I love my M80s, but I think the M60s would suffice (for the budget conscious) with a good sub.

If the extra money for the 80's is not a concern then the answer should be obvious... knowing you have the best is kinda nice too

In all seriousness, I agree with SRoode. Having heard the M60s with an EP500, I am very impressed with them.
