Hi Axiom fans, finally pulling myself from lurker status to join amongst the ranks. \:\) I've been drooling over the M80 HT for about 6 months now and my patient saving has finally payed off, as (after some speaker and receiver research and demos) I am about to go for a Denon 3808 and Epic 80 setup. Now I'd just like to quantify all of the rave reviews with an audition before I pull the trigger. I've pm'ed redjet, as I see he's the only one in my area I show auditioning. However, just in case I don't hear back, is anyone else in around the Ft. Worth area auditioning a M80 setup by chance?

Thanks again!

J.P., welcome. Good choice of speakers and receiver. Yes, it's been several years since redjet has posted and it's likely that he won't see the PM. Note that Bray has M60s in Rowlett, which would certainly also give you a good idea about the M80s.

There's a chance that someone there might notice this thread, or you might try contacting Amie or Andrea at Axiom to see if they could assist you in making contact.

If you feel like making a 4.5 hour drive up to Tulsa I have m80's vp150, QS8's, and ep500 with a denon 3808.

I auditioned my axioms in Kansas City when I was on a weekend mini-vacation since I couldn't find somone in my area.

Of course with the price of gas now adays you might find that return shipping would be cheaper! (But you are NOT going to be sending anything back)

I'd like to check out your M80s terzaghi, but the only reason I'd be driving up to Oklahoma would be to play some Hold 'Em at Choctaw or Winstar, and I plan on using my money for better things....at least for now. \:\)

I'll PM Bray though as you suggested, John.

Part of me wants to just go ahead and buy the Axioms, but the other part of me (wife) wants to give them a listen first before even getting them ordered. Plus, I would like to hear the VP150 to decide if I want to go with another Axiom speaker instead or stick with it.

Thanks again for all the advice guys, and I'll be sure to post up pics once I'm an official Axiom owner. ;\)

I am actually staying in Lawton OK during the week right now, but I do not have my m80's with me. I keep them in Tulsa... something tells me my hotel room neighbors wouldn't appreciate them \:\)

Sure they would appreciate them. They just wouldn't tolerate them. "Wow, you can really hear the clarity coming through the walls honey! Now call the cops."

Hopefully Bray replies to my pm. And I'm guessing someone else is named J.P. here?

Just pondering.

JP,

I've got the Epic 80:600 + Denon 3808 in Austin if you want to make the trip down this way. I realize it's a distant second choice to someone closer, but let me know if you're interested.

J.P., so that you don't have to ponder endlessly, yes, medic8r, our board Psychiatrist(who on occasion has exhibited multiple personalities), is J.P.(John)Swing, aka Doc or whatever.

Guilty!

Speaking of "Doc", today I feel more like "Sleepy". The rain helped with the pollen count, so I am not "Sneezy" any more.

Sean, I sets 'em up ...

Yeah, I wondering if anyone (glances at Peter) would jump in line in front of you to get in a "Dopey" comment, but I see that, like you, they've written this one off as too easy.

Thanks for the invite to check out your setup in Austin, myrison. Frisco is definately a lot better of a drive though. \:\) PM sent jfdawson.

Nice to see multiple J.P.'s on the board. Although the resident J.P. may be suffering from multiple personalities. ;\)
