I'm working in Salt Lake City this week. My return flight is Thursday evening. The problem is, I'm pretty much done today -- leaving me with 1.5 days to kill. (Switching my flight will cost extra and my boss would rather I didn't.)

If there were snow on the ground, I'd go skiing. But it's in the 80s (Fahrenheit, you Canajuns) right now. Is there anything I can do around here other than museums and searching the LDS database for ancestors?

How about visiting ALL audio shops/dealers that you can find in the area?

I'm not travelling alone and there's only one rental car. Sounds like a good idea, though! I'll have to run it by James...

And me without my demo CDs! All I've got is my iPod.

This place is the best I could find without looking in the yellow pages:

http://www.audiodesign.net/products/loudspeakers.html

As you can tell from the list, the speakers they carry are:

• a/d/s/
• B&W
• Boston Acoustics
• Canton
• CAT
• Krell
• Meridian
• McIntosh
• Niles
• Rockustics
• Velodyne
• Yamaha

It would be interesting to hear the Krells, with their no-wood extruded aluminum body. Rockustics?!

But I'd be more interested in keeping to the ~$1000 and under price range.

Hey Peter, Reminds me of a t-shirt i saw on a guy in the old Stapleton Airport in Devner about 10 years ago: Eat, Drink, and Be Merry ...tommorrow we may be in Salt Lake City. If I were you, I'd try to catch some great sounds in the temple though.

Its always fun to listen to the high end thuogh.

When i heard the B&W signature 800's on Mcintosh and Linn i was blown away. wow. no way i could afford that but it was sure sweeet.

I need to get one of those shirts...

As far as getting into the temple, I'd never make it past the guards. Only mormons are allowed inside. The Tabernacle, however, is open to all. The choir practices on Thursdays at 7pm, but I'll be at the airport then.

I'm sure I'll figure something out. Tonight, I had some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. Very very fresh. The wasabi could have been a little hotter, though. My soy sauce was practically opaque with the amount I needed to put in there to reach my desired flavor.

Isn't Rockustics the outdoor brand that hide amongst the yard landscaping?

If anyone is interested (and you must be at least curious since you clicked on the thread...) we decided to go to the Classic Cars International Antique Auto Museum of Utah this afternoon. Should be fun.

Tomorrow, we're going to theTimpanogos Cave, which isn't too far from the city.
