I skimmed the thread list and read "Wheel of Fortune gets graphically novelized".
It seemed like a bad idea to me.
Maybe I should read more carefully.

I may have to re-buy the first book. My paperback is going on, what 14 years old? Maybe more. It's a bit yellowed and I think the cover started separating from the spine.

As mentioned prior, if you are like me and don't like when a book mixes modern day with fantasy, don't be discouraged with the beginning when the modern day people get sucked into the fantasy world. Once they get settled into their new world, you get lost in the amazingly well written fantasy world and eventually both the characters and the reader forgets they ever came from our present day.
