FYI, I just sent an email to support on this.

Tonight I was watching a Blu-Ray movie (Master and Commander on DTS-HD MA). After about 10 minutes I noticed that the dialogue was no longer clear and crisp, and sounded very muffled. I put my ear up to each of the speakers on the VP150 v2. The three woofers were all working as they should, but I couldn't hear anything coming from either tweeter. I checked connections, all is well there. Not to mention it sounded fine at the beginning of the movie.

What do you think happened? Also, how long do you think it will take Axiom to remedy this situation? I have a professional calibrator coming out on August 5 and it is important VITAL that I have a working center channel (the soonest he will be coming back to my area will be next Spring...). I purchased the speaker (Epic 60) in April, so they are all basically brand new.

Any input is appreciated...

I had a similar sounding problem (literally) although my tweeters Did still work. I had narrowed it down to the crossover, But instead of just sending me a new crossover as I had requested axiom decided to send me an entirely new speaker and paid to send the broken one back.

Im not sure how axiom will remidy the situation but I expect that from my past experiences you will have it fixed by the time your calibrator comes by.

That's reassuring. Thanks for posting your experience. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on my progress in case anyone else runs into this problem.

Tonik, why are you paying unneeded money for some so-called professional calibrator to come out? You really don't need to spend your hard earned money on things that we all can guide you through yourself, this is not rocket science.

His primary role will be calibrating video. Couple hundred dollars is not a big deal to me so I am having him calibrate audio as well.

On a projector or TV? You know that you can do this yourself easily with one of the many DVD's available from Avia, DVD Essentials, Disc Washer, etc.?

Anyway, good luck. \:\)

It's a Pioneer Elite 151FD. Although calibration DVD's help, they cant match the calibration that a professional can provide by going into the service menu to make adjustments.

Anyway, I opened up the tweeters this morning. All the wires were firmly attached, so that rules that out. What else could it be?

Going to call customer service today, I'm hoping they will just send me a new one..

Yeah, but not everyone can calibrate video correctly. I know I stink at it, even using spiders and the like.

Update: Axiom is sending me a new 150 and paying the return shipping for the defective 150. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
