Subs call for coaxial cable to connect to the receiver.
Can I use RG6 coax (i.e. what I use for cable tv) for this (with RCA Adapters)? Is there a difference?

RG6 is Coax cable, you can also use RG59 which is a little more flexible. Monoprice.com is a great resource and affordable.

There really isn't a difference. I use RG6 based cable terminated with RCA jacks for my interconnects that I got from monoprice. Like SirQ said, RG59 would work just as well.

Whew. I had prewired with it (RG6) and a description of audio coax on a vendor's site had me a bit worried that there was some sort of secret ingredient.

Thanks for the peace of mind.

Almost every audio, video and cat5 cable in my new home is from Monoprice. (whole house music, 2000+ ft. network and video).
Audio and component video cable makes you cry when comparing them to the local stores.

Ah, but there is a 'secret' ingredient. Its called Maketing Voodoo. Numerous companies in the audio market apply it by the ton. Its quite cheap in bulk, or so I hear...
