I must have needed my coffee. I guess I was thinking of the old "Pigeons are rats with wings" analogy and tried to extrapolate it to squirrels, but I got distracted by the smell of bagels in the kitchen, and the transdimensional vortices were feeling a little funny to me already, so allow me to propose instead that squirrels are rats with fluffy tails.

You too?? My son used to tell me the one in his left leg was specially tuned to all things sweet. Hence his enormous capacity for the aformentioned delectables while remaining increadibly skinny.

I've never understood why people hate squirrels. I've always loved them. Far more entertaining to watch than birds.

You've never been on the UC Berkeley campus, have you? Those little ...things... will take you down, man! Swarms of 'em! You got a crumb of food on you? They want it, and they're gonna take it.

You gotta watch yourself with squirrels...

But seriously, they're really aggressive on campus, mainly because they've been fed by unsuspecting people a whole lot. They do tend to circle if you're eating lunch outside.
