I know, I know, it's called an A/V receiver for a reason. It's just that I have never used the "V" function of any receiver so it's new territory.
I have never had enough components (until now) to warrant using the video features of my receiver. I have an MX700 remote so it was a simple procedure to switch the television input at the same time I switched the audio input. I am now (well, in about two weeks) officially out of component inputs so I will have to move at least two, um, components (cd & dvd player for clarity) to the receiver. Is there a benefit to using a receiver's video switching other than a simplified "switch"?
I am using a Pioneer 1015TX receiver.

In case you are wondering, I need component connection for the cd player because it is also my 400 disk sacd/dvd player.
