I was wondering if this reciever would drive a pair of m80s without much problem? My room is 18x18x8.5 tall. I enjoy LOUD music. Basicly i just want a bad a.. 2 channel system. Thank you for any info on this.

There is really no reason to assume it would have any issues. Most solid state recievers should have no problem driving the m80's. Below are the specs claiming 160watts/ch into 4ohms with all channels driven.

Continuous Average Power 100 Watts/channel (8Ω, 20Hz to 20kHz, <0.03% THD)
both channels driven 160 Watts/channel (4Ω, 20Hz to 20kHz, <0.03% THD)

thanks for the help. Ive been trying to decide between the m60 or the m80. With this reciever which of the two would it match up the best? Would one or the other be noticeably louder or clearer?

Nols, welcome. As Randy's reply above indicates, there's no need to think that you have to "match" a receiver and speakers. Power is universal and works with all speakers. As to the M60/M80 question, the M80 would have the ability to play a bit louder in a very large room(which you don't have)and would have a little deeper bass extension. It also is slightly more sensitive and so requires a little less power at a given sound level than does the M60, but the 2150 has more than enough maximum power capability for either at any reasonable loudness level(watch your hearing), so this shouldn't be a determining factor.

That Outlaw receiver was reviewed in Stereophile some time back and did a great job with a 4 ohm load. Get the M80s if you like music loud, your room is not to small to accommodate them.

Nols - not to put off your question, but if you haven't, try a quick search of the M60 versus M80 and you should find a long list of discussions on that topic. It's a very common question and there has been a lot of useful back and forth on it in prior posts. Here is a good informative link (one of many).

The good news is that you cannot go wrong with either one. Truly, I've heard them both and would be happy to have either in my listening area (13x19). I ended up with the 80s because for me it wasn't _that_ much more money, and if I hadn't bought the 80s, I would always have asked "what if." If you don't have that problem, then the 60s will probably be fine for you. If you do (like most of us), then keep that in mind when making your decision.

The 80's will also deliver more detail in the high end, though it is not something you would notice unless you did a direct a/b comparison.
