Watched The Batman last night.....

How many times are they going to re-boot / re-set this charactor?

Other that anoyance, I think I prefer this one over the last atempt. Bruce Wayne seems less of a 'super-hero' with over the top gadgets and physical ability and more human.

I agree with that, but the previous attempt set the bar pretty low. I had to watch this one in three one-hour increments because I wasn't finding anything in the story to latch onto. I kept waiting for it to build into something where it clicks and I can see why people like it so much, but it never got there for me. I can appreciate some of it on a technical level, but yeah, I just wish it felt fresher.

Finally got around to watching this in 4K/Atmos after I ordered the disk. It was as you describe. Something anyone could enjoy, regardless of music preference. I did not know who Hans Zimmer was, or this was movie themes, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Outstanding.

I subscribed to Paramount+ the other day, despite my refusal to pay extra for a TV channel that I should just get all of its content with my over-priced Direct TV account. They had too many interesting shows to not try for a few months. We've started watching 1883, mostly due to being a Sam Eliot fan.... Yellowstone is also my favorite TV show, so I kinda had to watch 1883. It's a good show. Surprisingly enough, Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill can act fairly well.

Last night we watched the first three episodes of Halo and it was very well done. Very enjoyable story too... Lots of great actors, and outstanding special effects. They definitely spent some coin on this show.... I do not, have not, and will not - play video games. So if anyone wants to complain that Halo isn't following the game, have at it - I do not care.

I think you should ride your bike more. And, like me, carry at least six knives strapped at various locations so no matter how mangled you end up from the initial, surprise attack, you can always reach for a blade and eviscerate it if it's stupid enough to attack again.

I can relate to this. Presently have Bell satellite which gives us sports channels (TSN, Golf Channel), plus a Crave subscription and Fibe on Demand. Covers the bulk of what we want. However, for some other movies (like Marvel series, Star Wars), i thought to try out Disney for a month and given the amount of content, opted in for one year. Then, i got a free 30d Prime trial. All this would add up to a stupid amount of monthly cost going permanently to all these.
How can anyone complain about the cost of cable packages when frankly they are cheaper than all the individual services put together?
And some i can't get without a cable bundle (TSN and Golf Channel in Canada for example can only be obtained with a cable package to get all content).

So i have this Prime account, saw all these trailers on Halo (i also don't play the game but know of it). I go to watch it on Prime only to find out i have to pay even MORE if i want to watch it!
Some of the movies and other content on Prime, same thing. I would have to pay a rental fee!
WTF!!
Brutal.
My Prime trial ends tomorrow and we're not renewing.
Disney content will be watched over this year and we likely will renew periodically only when there are a few things we want to watch and even then, we'll binge all in a month and not renew.

The only real BIG plus, is that Prime, Disney have tons of 4k content and Dolby multichannel audio. Bell Fibe is stereo, 1080p max and Crave is the same but does carry DD at least for movies (i should mention that 4k does exist for some Bell customers but not where we are located).
Bell is way behind the competition.

As for watching lately, since we got all these:

On Disney-
Mandalorian
Book of Boba Fett
Marvel Secret Wars series
Some old Disney movies like Flight of the Navigator, E.T., etc.

Prime-
The Boys
Outer Range
Wheel of Time
various movies like Moonfall

Ran out of time to check out other series on Prime that i heard were good.
