So this morning I finally pulled the trigger. Amie took my order for

w22 pair
w150
ep350 all in HG Cherry.
I will be getting the qs8s in a little while.

I will post some pics as soon as I get them setup. How long is the usual wait?

Wow! HG Cherry, huh? Way to make us jealous!!

I'm not sure how long the wait is for something other than a standard finish... you might want to give them another call!

Fantastic! The wait for speakers with a standard finish is usually quite short -- perhaps even as short as three business days, depending on where you live.

Congrats! Sounds like you are building a nice system there, you need to post pics of those beauties once you get them set up.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it definitely won't be a few days. \:\) The good news is, however, that HG Cherry is MORE than worth the wait. I've got some pics in my subject to hold you over while you wait. Mine took 4-5 weeks, but it was during an HG Cherry promotion, so there was a lot of extra demand for them then.

Congrats on the purchase, you're going to love them.

Jason

I thought they kept HG CHerry in stock now. I suppose it's possible that I could be mistaken. It's happened before. Like the time I said the fundamentals of our economy are strong.

Congrats \:\)
I too have just bought my first Axiom speakers, QS8's v2 and VP150 v2 in standard black.

The Q's are replacing my Yamaha bookshelf, that I use as surrounds and the VP150 will replace my old Phillips center, which is a little plastic box. My main speakers are Dali MK3 and a Sound Dynamics sub, which I want to replace later on with the EP 175.

I hope they won't disappoint.

Congrats Graeme L on your Axiom purchase, I hope you enjoy your speakers as much as I do :). On thing I would like to point, try to save up money for the EP350 or the EP500 for a future upgrade instead of the EP 175 if possible. IMO you can never have too much sub and for the little extra go for the EP350, it will be worth it for your HT experience.

Enjoy your Axioms :),

Who knows, I hope you're right though. That way my EP800 will arrive more quickly when I order it in HG Cherry. ;\) [a guy can dream]

Congrats on the new system...I just received my system last week and still hooking up speakers, installing shelving, mounting TV on wall, etc. Had to drive all the way to Montreal from Ottawa, Canada to get a shelf for the VP150. I really love the color I purchased, its Boston Cherry with the Black grilles (looks beautiful). Only problem I have had so far is the shipping...I had a lot of damaged boxes, but with Axiom's great packing everything was ok and they replace anything damaged with no problem. Excellent customer support and service. I will post pics when the setup is done. Enjoy your system to the fullest.

Graeme L: congrats, I'm sure you will enjoy those sreakers. In regards to your future plan of purchasing an EP175, I too would recommend stepping up to at the least the EP350.

And though there is a reasonable difference in price, all indications are that the 350 will leave the 175 far in the dust!

The 175 may be good for a very small room, but even in a 12x20x8 room it could not produce enough bass. The EP350 handled this room size with ease.

The price for the QS8's and VP150 jumped up around $500. I am waiting until it strengthens again and then I will buy the EP500 and M80's.

If I had of realised what was going to happen I would have put them on Layby.

So Saturday I got the speakers. I haven't heard them yet since I'm still waiting for my receiver. But Wow they certainly are a work of art. Absolutely beautifull. I will post pics soon. They are all wall mounted and wired just waiting on the receiver.

The 350 is larger than i imagined. So is the w150. The HG Cherry finish is superb. Well worth the extra $.

AWESOME!

How long did it take for the speakers to ship from the time you ordered them?

The looks are just the first step, get ready for the real fun now!

(How long do you have to wait for the receiver to arrive?)

Wow, that's impressive turnaround time... Based on that timing, it would seem that Peter may have been right about keeping HG Cherry in stock now. Maybe that means my EP-800 in HG Cherry will arrive sooner than expected. (a guy can dream!)

Definitely let us know your impressions once you get things hooked up. You definitely made the right move choosing the 350. Can't wait to hear what you think.
