But it's got Mark Wahlberg!

jajaja , you sounded like 'Aunt Linda' (K.Wigg) from SNL doing a movie review. -- Whaaaat?! "Come on," "Aw, geez!"
I love Kristen Wigg! :-)

And yeah, I saw The Happening last week, "Oh, brother!"

So yeah, Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best shows I've seen. A lot of imagination, and written very well. Now I just need to watch the movie and start in on the manga.

Okay, so I watched Baraka tonight. It really is an incredible collection of sights and sounds. It seems like it would work as a video postcard we would beam out into space. You have to wonder how much footage they shot to be able to distill it into that.

In Blu-ray the movie was visually stunning, I just wish they would have identified the locations filmed, I recognized many, but many locations I had no idea where they were filmed.

Yeah, I was curious about where they were, too. I guess Wikipedia has a list of the locations, but it doesn't tell you which is which, and I'm too lazy to keep looking for another site that specifies. Ha ha.

Ahh, a sequel to Baraka is planned for release next year, according to Wikipedia. Cool.

Wow, I didn't catch your comment until just now.

That critic got it just right.

You know, I actually didn't hate The Happening like I thought I would, given the nearly unanimous blasting. It just seemed like another M. Night Shyamalan movie to me. Not the strongest story, kind of preachy, but with some entertaining dialogue. I wouldn't rank it below Lady in the Water. I'd say they're his two weakest movies, but I liked The Happening more than the much-less-maligned I Am Legend.
