I didn't know it was even being mentioned anywhere: Canada HiFi - News About Upcoming Axiom ProductsScroll down to see details on the A1400-2. I'd consider that too spendy for two channels of amplification, but I'm sure they can sell some at that price.

$2000 for a 2 channel amp, way too much for me, it makes the A1400-8 a steal comparing $/ch. I just had a heart attack looking at the price of the A1400-8 after the price increase for us Canucks, $4620!!!! Even at that steep price that still works out to $577/ch., based on this I would have expected about $1500 cdn for the A1400-2. I don't know what I am complaining about, I won't be able to afford either one any way.

The price seems to fall in line with Rotels prices on their class D amps.
