I'm just wondering what the best analog recording format for audio is. Wouldn't THAT be the best source for playback, not an LP?

I agree. When comparing numbers (bad pun), the digital domain (CD) wins handsdown over analog (vinyl). But sometimes what we like can be totally contradictory to the evidence. And that's just part of being human. \:\)

What I was alluding too is that in the end, it's a personal thing. This topic has turned into a no win situation (LP vs CD / Analog vs Digital). Our preferences are purely personal. There's no right or wrong. Specs become purely semantics when it comes to being human.

Now I need to run. It sounds like my Burt Bacharach has developed a skip! ;\)
