Hi: Looking to spend about $200-$250, I know this puts me into a used one mostly likely what brands should I look at. It is for a apartment setting room is 19x11x8. What would be a proper size?Thanks in advance

Look at BIC V-1220. You can get one new and delivered for $200 US. Excellent features for the price.

Bruce, here's hoping that you'll soon be fully-recovered.
As to the sub, the Amazon sale on the Energy ESW-10 that was linked would be excellent, but I note that it states that it can only be shipped to the U.S. Checking the individual site of Beach Audio, one of the Amazon sellers listed there that's reputable and ships to Canada, I found that the full price, including shipping, would be about $298CAD.
