A little pricey considering an Xbox360 will stream netflix movies now. However, you have to have an xbox live gold account which costs $50 per year....

I am all for more of these devices comming to the market though.

PS3 alows downloads to rent. Some are HD. Not from NetFlix but I don't guess that matters.

Yeah, Xbox live has HD rentals as well... but the cost is pretty steep at around 6 bucks for an "HD" movie in 720p with no HD audio choices and in many cases no surround sound at all (stereo only). Plus you have wait all night for it to DL... The netflix streaming isn't what I would call the best quality (it is pretty good when you find an HD movie and all the green bars showing your connection speed are maxed out) but it is really convienent to instantly stream a pretty large choice of movies and TV shows while you wait for the next netflix movie or 2 to show up in the mail.

cool... Hopefully several of these players come out. I could see this adding to the netflix userbase and prompting netflix to increase the number of movies available and the number of ones presented in HD.

PlayOn (software for the PS3) allows free streaming of content from your Netflix to account. The product has been in Beta for some time so as long as you keep downloading the newest releases of the Beta it remains free. If you decide you like it, it's a $30 one-time fee and works VERY well. It also connects to content from ESPN, YouTube, NBC, and Hulu.com. It is great software.
